It is thick and stays put, so doesnt run all over the place or leave a sticky mess. Nice sized pump bottle lasts a while. One thing is that it doesn't taste good (it's bitter and chemically) so I'd advise against it for anything that you would do involving licking or sucking. Get Astroglide Strawberry for that...classic.

The one downside is it doesn't taste very good at all. Use something else for oral.

I am a big fan of maximus. I only use Maximus for anal, so I can't speak to other uses. Maximus is no slouch performance-wise and also has the added bonus of not staining your sheets, as silicone-based lubes are prone to do. It also plays well with other toys and parts, no matter their composition. I echo other reviewers' comments that the pump is much easier to use than the squeeze bottle.

Maximus is a seriously amazing lube for anal play. I've tried a bunch, and it is right up there with the good silicone lubes in terms of slipperyness and staying power. It lasts longer than I do! That said, it has a big advantage over silicone lubes, since it can be used with silicone toys. It is, therefore, the perfect lube, and absolutely worth the price.
