The 519 Church St. Community Centre

The 519 Church Street Community Centre is the hub of community life in Toronto's diverse Church and Wellesley Village for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transsexual, transgender, two-spirit and queer communities and our allies and friends. Offering a wide range of internationally renowned programs and services that operate from an anti-oppression framework. Public meeting space enable groups in the community to organize and find support as well as find enrichment through arts and culture.

• Cultural, social and recreation programs for all ages
• Drop-in for homeless and hostel residents
• Family Resource Centre, parent/caregiver and child program; parenting workshops; Growing Up Healthy Downtown; summer day camp; Community counseling for persons in distress; income tax clinic; clothing exchange; social clubs for persons with developmental disabilities
• Legal assistance: informal legal information provided by lawyer volunteers Thursday evenings; also weekly wills/powers of attorney clinic for persons living with HIV or AIDS (see separate entry Legal Aid Ontario Student Legal Aid Society Community and Legal Aid Services Programme: CLASP)
