educational outreach
Since 1997 Come As You Are has offered educational consulting and support services to organizations across Canada. All our educational outreach is provided on a sliding scale, much of it free, and is financially supported by our co-operative.
Our outreach services and materials are reviewed by an AASECT certified sexuality educator. Come As You Are has volunteered hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars carrying out initiatives including:
Trainings across Canada with nurses, rehabilitation workers, psychiatry students, doctors, and public health workers on topics ranging from sex toys to sex and disability.
Sex professional discounts and not-for-profit pricing for sex educators, sex therapists, and sex trade workers. We think if doctors get a deal on office equipment, shouldn’t sex professionals pay less for the tools of their trade?
Telephone consultations with media, industry, and health care workers.
Workshops, which are cost subsidized and offered both in store and off site on topics ranging from self-pleasuring to erotic writing to improving partner sex and sexual communication.
